20230226. A fascinating chamfered corner on a modest art deco building. The abrupt change in material of the cornice and the vertical concrete element seem to suggest that there was once two signs (perhaps with neon lighting) over the doorway facing opposite directions.

20230217. This McDonald’s at Queen and Church can be rather sketchy at times but I would rather it stay than the 60 (sixty!) storey skyscraper coming. All facades but that of the McDonald’s building will be retained. Apart from that condo to the left all buildings are low-rise on this block.

20230206. There goes the 1947 LCBO warehouse on Toronto’s waterfront. The booze supply now sits at the much larger Durham warehouse and LCBO has contracted Trillium Supply to handle their ecommerce.
20230205. With the Sugar Wharf Condos Phase 1 rising in the background (64, 70 storeys), the LCBO lands are being prepared for Sugar Wharf Phase 2 (64, 70 storeys) which will retain the bridge and facades.
