Please follow along as I cover the #PANAMdemonium of Toronto’s PAN AM Games in photos. We get lots of coverage of the athletes and the sports but not the planning and infrastructure challenges of hosting the games.
PANAM01. United We Play but security concerns mean the athletes’ village will be closed to the public.
PANAM02. Corktown Common, the new Park in the West Don Lands, will also be closed for the duration of the PAN AM games. I imagine this will provide the athletes with a place to chill out.
PANAM03. Although not beautiful, these temporary athletes’ village structures are cost effective and will not leave a legacy of buildings unfit for other purposes.
PANAM04. Toronto 2015 has 1200 vehicles to move officials, organizers, dignitaries and athletes around during the PAN AM Games.
